Kroger

The current climate we are conducting business in… Today, I had an issue at the store. I was talking on the phone while checking out. ( I should have gotten off the phone- my bad) Anyways, I forgot to put my waters upon the counter. So when I checked out and paid then the girl noticed the waters on the bottom of my cart; so I said oh - I forgot those. I’ll just pay by cash I forgot they were down there. So we made the transaction. The lady behind me in the line started commenting as though I was going to walkout without paying for the waters insinuating like I was trying to steal. She started talking to the cashier and they started a conversation around it right in front of me. Here I am with close to $600.00 cash in my purse and they’re accusing me in so many words of attempting to steal a $3.00 case of waters. I told that lady if I had gotten to the parking lot and discovered the waters I would have come back into the store and paid for them because I live by a higher authority than Kroger store or police. I wouldn’t violate my relationship with my creator God for any reason. I let it go but the incident was very insulting and it could have gotten ugly. The indignities we have to contend with - just because we are “ SHOPPING WHILE BLACK” So sad.

No longer allow you to by pass debit on your credit/debit card. I've done this for awhile with no issues, until today. The cashier says she has no idea how to do it. Not knowing my pin and having no other way to pay, the manager came over. She said corporate won't allow them to do this anymore and they could lose their job if they do it, no exceptions. Well had I known this I would have NOT gone there. Now that the line has been held up and everyone is watching us, I tell her I am about to have a panic attack. Magically there's another manager who can come and he let's me do it. This is the ONLY store I have ever been forced to use my card as a debit card. Thanks a lot kroger, you won't have my business anymore.

Horrible customer service. Like pulling teeth just get them to do anything or even being there at all. The manager is just as rude. I stop going there for money orders. And this didn't just happen once this to me personally has happened 5 times. One time they said someone would be with me in a min then 20 mins later then told me they were closed. Like you couldn't tell me that 20 mins prior.
